What made you look into solar and battery and how did you discover Think renewable?
My wife and I had built a new house and we were looking for a way to reduce our energy costs. So, we spoke to our energy provider and they referred us on to Think Renewable and that was the first step in the process.
What impact have you seen on your energy bills since getting solar and a battery?
Since installing the solar and battery with Think Renewable, we’ve actually seen refunds come back from our energy provider. As an example, last month we got a a $70 credit back into our account. And this is common for something that we see certainly over the summer months – that we’re not only filling our battery, but we’re putting money back into the grid and getting refunds from our energy provider. For us, that’s a massive savings. So, I’m talking anywhere from $4-5,000 per year.
How was your experience throughout the process with Think Renewable?
From the very start, we were in contact with Edward. Edward organised a quote for our new build. And it was unique because they had to look at, you know, the direction that the house is facing and the roof.
What I saw from the process is it was very streamlined. So, from the first quote to the installers coming out to the whole process of it being hooked up was only a matter of weeks. And what I found is we got the benefits quite early with the first bill. It’s a very simple process. And the credibility with Think Renewable came from the fact that they were referred to us by our energy provider.
What would you say to someone considering solar and a battery?
I’ve been really pleased with the process. So much so that my daughter has recently bought a house not far from here and I’ve had a conversation with her about installing both the solar panels and the battery.
And from there, I’ve actually reached out to Think Renewable to get them to do the install for my daughter and provide a quote as well because it was such a positive process every step of the way from not only the installation, but the benefit and the saving on the bill, especially for them being a young couple who are just taking out their first mortgage on their first home. Overall, it’s been a great process.
